Free OBC is a perk offered with the booking of select cruises. These offers are either something the cruise line is offering everyone during a limited time sale, or a special the cruise line offers selected agents that we pass along to our clients. Sometimes, these deals are part of a group booking and as an agent we can choose to offer the OBC or take additional commission or other perks for ourselves instead of offering the incentive to our clients.
Here are some important things to consider when looking at a free OBC or free extras deal. These deals are typically offered for a limited time. Often these specials are limited to select cabin classes, select ships, select sailing dates, and have other restrictions about who can obtain the specials and when it can be used. These restrictions are usually aimed at selling cabins during specific windows of time to fill ships.
More often than not, these specials are also restricted in combinability with other specials such as past passenger discounts, other OBC deals, etc. These restrictions are intended to keep passengers from getting too much combined benefits for single bookings. Thus, if you already have several special benefits and perks you can access know these deals may not end up being any additional benefit to you.
The big key thing to consider is most often these specials are for new bookings only. Thus, if you area already booked these specials are typically not available to you. Canceling and creating a new booking is usually not acceptable either.
